green silks. Cigar cork grip with bright nickel silver slide band and butt cap with wooden reel seat.
Mr. Ishida is a rod maker in the Tottori Prefecture of Japan, a mountainous
region to the far southwest of the island. Well known for rods of extreme high quality,
Mr. Ishida built this model in the "Marutake" style, a technique that employs whole,
round, un-split bamboo shoots (Yadake in this case). The shoots are carefully cultivated,
dried, then heat-tempered. Rod is perfect for smaller streams. Rod is packed in gray cloth
rod bag and stored in green Harms marked aluminum brass capped rod tube. This rod is in new, unused condition.
A really neat little small stream dry fly rod! $795.
