1.7 oz. He supplied this rod in 2003 as a

ferruled blank, which was then assembled and finished by Bill Harms. Bamboo rod ferrules,

wrapped in olive green silks, Cigar cork grip with blued delicate nickel silver slide bands with burled

wooden reel seat mortised out with cork reel foot spacer. Rod comes packed in green cloth rod bag and stored

in green aluminum Harms labeled brass capped rod tube. Rod appears in new, unused condition.


This rod is in the "Marutake" style, and employs Yadake cane. Marutake rods always

use hollowed, round, un-split bamboo shoots, often with butts, mid-sections and tips

selected from different species. Each cane offers its own flexing and taper characteristics.

This rod has" mirrored" tips, and features composite, bamboo/fiberglass ferrules.

Although delicate in the hand, the rod will cast a 3-4 wt. line,

for a little distance it will cast a 4 wt. with authority. $995.
